MAX Chat Exporter is a browser extension designed to help users export the contents of chats opened by the user in the web version of MAX.
MAX Chat Exporter is designed to work locally in the user’s browser.
The extension does not operate a remote server, does not require user registration, and does not send exported chat data to the developer.
When the user opens a supported MAX web page and uses the extension, the extension may access and process the contents of the currently opened chat page, including:
- message text;
• message time or visible date/time information, if available on the page;
• links visible in messages;
• visible information about attachments or media files, if available on the page;
• technical page elements needed to identify messages and prepare the export.
The extension processes this information only to perform the export requested by the user.
MAX Chat Exporter does not collect user data on behalf of the developer.
The extension does not transmit chat contents, exported files, links, attachments, identifiers, analytics, usage statistics, or personal data to the developer or to any third-party server.
All processing is performed locally in the user’s browser.
The data available on the opened chat page is used only for the following purposes:
- to detect messages visible or loaded in the current chat page;
• to prepare export files in formats such as HTML, JSON, CSV, or TXT;
• to create an attachment or media manifest, if such information is visible on the page;
• to save the generated files to the user’s device through the browser download function.
MAX Chat Exporter does not store exported chat data on the developer’s servers.
Exported files are saved only to the user’s own device, in the location selected or managed by the user’s browser.
The extension may rely on standard browser functionality to create and download files. The developer does not have access to these files.
MAX Chat Exporter does not sell, rent, transfer, disclose, or share user data with third parties.
The extension does not use advertising networks, analytics services, tracking pixels, remote logging, or external data-processing services.
MAX Chat Exporter does not load or execute remote code.
The extension runs using the code included in the extension package distributed through the Chrome Web Store or another official distribution channel.
The extension requests only the permissions needed for its functionality.
Depending on the published version, these permissions may include:
- access to supported MAX web pages, so the extension can read the currently opened chat page after the user chooses to use the extension;
• downloads permission, so the extension can save exported files to the user’s device;
• active tab access, so the extension can work with the tab where the user has opened the MAX web interface.
The extension does not request access to all websites unless it is technically necessary for a specific published version.
The user controls when to use the extension.
The extension does not automatically export all chats. It works when the user opens a supported chat page and starts the export action.
The user may delete exported files from their device at any time.
The user may remove the extension from the browser at any time.
MAX Chat Exporter is not intended to knowingly collect data from children.
Because the extension does not send data to the developer, the developer does not knowingly collect personal information from children through the extension.
The extension is designed to reduce data exposure by processing chat data locally in the browser and avoiding transmission of chat contents to external servers.
However, users are responsible for keeping exported files secure after they are saved to their device.
