Madrid Radar Extension Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 19, 2026
This Privacy Policy applies to the Madrid Radar Chrome extension published for the Chrome Web Store. It does not replace the policy for the full Madrid Radar web service; it explains how the extension itself handles data.
What the extension does
The extension helps users track Madrid System trademark cases, review timelines, and export portfolio data. The Chrome extension operates in a local guest mode and stores up to 20 cases in the extension workspace. If a user needs a larger portfolio or account features, the extension directs the user to the main Madrid Radar service.
What data the extension processes
- Case numbers and related portfolio entries that the user adds to the extension.
- Case data returned from Madrid Radar service endpoints needed to display timelines, statuses, documents, and exports.
- Basic local settings required for the extension interface, such as saved portfolio state inside browser extension storage.
What the extension does not do
- The extension does not require Firebase authentication.
- The extension does not run remote hosted code from third-party authentication providers.
- The extension does not process payment card details.
- The extension does not sell personal data.
Where data is stored
The extension stores the local guest portfolio in browser extension storage on the user's device. This local workspace is limited to up to 20 cases in the extension package submitted to the Chrome Web Store.
Network requests
To load and refresh trademark case information, the extension sends requests to Madrid Radar service endpoints and may open official WIPO document or case resources when the user asks to view source materials. These requests are used only to provide the requested portfolio tracking functionality.
Sharing and disclosure
We do not sell user data. Data may be processed by Madrid Radar infrastructure only as needed to serve case information requested by the user. If the user opens the main Madrid Radar service, that separate service may apply its own account and billing policy.
Retention and deletion
Users can delete cases from the extension portfolio directly inside the extension interface. Removing the extension from Chrome also removes access to the extension's local workspace from that browser profile.
